How does Candide generate flashcards?
Tap the bookmark icon in the centre of the tab bar and pick a source — a photo of your notes, a PDF, typed or pasted text, or an audio recording. Candide's AI reads the material and returns a ready-to-study deck in seconds.
What is FSRS, and why does it matter?
FSRS 4.5 is a modern spaced-repetition scheduler. After each card you rate it Again, Hard or Got it, and the algorithm predicts the last moment you'll still remember it — then schedules the review for that day. You spend less time on cards you already know.
What's the difference between Free and Pro?
Free gives you up to 2 decks with unlimited reviews and the full scheduler. Pro unlocks unlimited decks and AI generation, exam scheduling, deck sharing, larger imports, and Anki export.
How do I cancel or restore a subscription?
Subscriptions are handled by Apple. To cancel: Settings → your Apple ID → Subscriptions → Candide → Cancel; you keep Pro until the end of the billing period. To restore: open the app → Profile → Upgrade → scroll down and tap "Restore purchases".
Is my study content private?
Your data lives in a Supabase database with row-level security, so only your account can read it, and it's encrypted in transit. We never sell or share it. Full detail is in the Privacy Policy.
Is there an Android version?
Candide is on iOS today. An Android build is in development — write to us and we'll let you know when it ships.
